This workshop took place over two days. The intent was to have a type poster design by the end.

 

We were first asked to write down descriptive words, then were asked to write how you think they would feel, taste, look, sound, etc.

 

After this we tried to represent these emotions within the typography of our words. We were then asked to get up and start manipulating our pieces of paper physically to express these emotions further.

I used the word 'intimidating'. Writing it out in strong black electrical tape. Turning the word horizontally and using a mirror to extend it's length, made the type look as the word feels.

I then brought it into illustrator to manipulate further, adding a bold orange background colour to make it feel imposing.
